5 Real Estate Positions to Consider as you Graduate College

1.     Financial Analyst

A financial analyst has a number of different tasks that they do in their day-to-day work, such as gathering information, assembling spreadsheets, writing reports, and reviewing any information on a potential deal that does not require legal knowledge. Someone who desires to work with numbers, work with excel, and do lots of research while being on salary pay would be more likely enjoy this position.

2.     Client Services Coordinator

A client services coordinator tends to have a background in marketing as well as being a creative person who is also detail oriented. One who works in this position creates BOVs (Broker Opinion of Value), OMs (Offering Memorandum), and other marketing materials, and receives salary pay for their work.

3.     Hybrid Broker/Analyst

A hybrid broker/analyst helps brokers with tours and cold calling as well as many others tasks, and assists with underwriting/modeling. Someone who likes the idea of having some of their pay come as a direct result of their work would be more likely to enjoy working this position as the pay structure is salary + commission.

4.     Full-Time Broker

A full-time broker does several different things, such as business development, tours, client meetings, and research. Someone who is well socially skilled, likes attending lots of events, and is willing to bet on themselves would be more likely to enjoy this position as it is 100% commission based pay.

5.     Transaction Manager

A transaction manager assists the broker or brokers with closing, due diligence, title/escrow, email updates, etc. Someone who works in this position may have a salary or a commission based pay structure. At this point in time, it seems to not be as popular a pick as the other positions listed above.
